Wednesday Whats 26-01

Hello and welcome to the first of what I hope will become many Wednesday Whats.

The Wednesday Whats are the things I’m reading, watching, listening to, experiencing… etc… etc… Basically a wrap-up post for the week. And Wednesday Whats sounds kind of fun, so it’ll be on Wednesday. In theory, I’m actually writing and posting this on a Thursday. This week has been a struggle. My work schedule changed from night shift to day shift, and I thought I was prepared. But I was not. I’m still getting used to it. And still working on figuring out what I can accomplish during my at-home hours.

Watching

Critical Role Campaign 3 Abridged

  • I’m up to Episode 46. I miss Campaign 4, but this is also fun to watch since I’m new to Critical Role and DND.

How to Set Up a Thinking Book

  • I was looking for some ideas on how to work with all the journals and notebooks that I think I want or need to make my life productive.

you still don’t know your undertone? let’s fix that.

  • I’m not sure how much energy and brain space I want to put into dressing my season since I’m generally told that I’m an Autumn coloring, but the colors I enjoy (pink, purple, teal) don’t usually fall into my season. But this video was useful in self-identifying my coloring.

Normal Things That Make You *Instantly* More Stylish & Chic

5 Style Tips You Haven’t Heard Before.

  • I’ve been watching a lot of videos about how to improve my style, as I’m currently working on giving myself a makeover. These two had some good tips that I want to revisit and maybe make a cheat sheet of things to tweak when outfits don’t feel right.

How I Finally Got Long Silky Hair NO VITAMINS (Science Based)

  • About 4ish years ago, I accidentally gave myself a mullet. No, there’s no photographic evidence because I got rid of that shit as fast as I fucked my hair up. But I’m still trying to grow my hair longer and thicker. So I liked this video for ideas on how to improve my hair growth.

Don’t quit your goals until you’ve watched this

  • I’ve decided Jessica of JashiiCorrin is my life coach. She makes a lot of great videos about goals. This one gives an easy way to reexamine our goals to figure out why they’re not working and address the issues preventing you from being successful.

Reading

Good Spirits by B.K. Borison

  • Stars: 5/5

  • I'm trying to regain my love for reading after college classes ruined reading for me. This was a perfect book to help reignite that love. It's an easy read, I read 200+ pages in one night, with characters that are funny and sweet. Definitely read it during the Christmas season.

Conspiracy in Death by J.D. Robb

  • Abandoned

  • My mom and I listen to audiobooks while we eat dinner and this was our most recent selection. We’ve both read a lot of this series but weren’t particularly enjoying this listen. I stuck with it because I thought that she was enjoying it, and she stuck with it because she thought I was enjoying it. Neither of us was enjoying it. Because my job is so serious and I get the pleasure of hearing and hearing about some of the worst things that can happen to people, I’m not in a mental place where I want to listen to graphic descriptions of murder by organ removal. Mom is also at a mental place where she doesn’t want to think about what she’s reading. So we’re going to stop listening to J.D. Robb books and stick to light and fluffy for the foreseeable future.

Not much to report on this week. Like I said, I’m struggling with getting on an even keel with my new schedule. Hopefully, there will be more next week. What have you been up to this last week? Let me know in the comments below.
